Launch School Experiences: The Beginning

I am nearing the end of completing RB101 — the first true course of the launch school curriculum and feeling like I found the right place for me to learn to code. A few major takeaways:

  1. Always read the questions/prompts thoroughly. If you do not understand the question or problem you are trying to solve, you will always come to incorrect conclusions.
  2. Every problem can be broken up into a smaller problem. Don’t get overwhelmed
  3. Take your time, walk away if you don’t understand at first and come back with a clear mind
  4. Take breaks — you can’t code for forever (even if you want to) and your boyfriend will get mad at you if you don’t take breaks
  5. Find a focused spot to study. If you’re not in the right frame of mind you likely wont be as productive as you want to be, leading to frustration

More to come…
